Please Join us at the Henry Clay Building, 604 South 3rd Street in Louisville from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4p.m. to 7p.m. on January 20th to watch the Inauguration with other peacemakers and to take your own "oath of office" by making a personal pledge to do at least one thing in 2009 to make our world a better place for everyone.
You will also have the opportunity to give a 30 second video response to what this historic election means to you.

• Candlelight Vigil in Tehran
The Tehran Peace Museum and the Society for Chemical Weapons Victims Support (SCWVS) are planning a candlelight vigil at 19:00 local time (10:30 EST) to commemorate the UN-designated International Day of Peace. The organized event is a historic first in Iran, where tensions with the United States are causing serious
anxiety.
On behalf of the Tehran Peace Museum and the Society for Chemical Weapons Victims Support (SCWVS), Iranians For Peace (IFP), Fellowship Of Reconciliation (FOR), Payvand and the Campaign Against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran (CASMII), we invite all anti-war group to act on September 21 in solidarity with the nascent Iranian peace movement. The scheduled series of speakers and films will explore the Iranian cosmopolitan community through cultural outlets such as music, literature, religion, poetry, art, and film, wherein contemporary social issues are addressed. The series is intended to provide an open forum for educated discussion about Iran, a nation that is much maligned by the media. • "Faces of Love form Iran" Reading poetry to the Music of Master Houssain Omoumi
This event involves traditional Persian music combined with poems of Rumi in Persian and English. It follows a poetry competition organized by the St. Louis Contemporary Art Center based on the concept of “language of the Heart” expressed in Rumi’s poetry.
